St. Francis maintains traditional Catholic faith and practice. It is registered as a “Forward in Faith” Church (
www.forwardinfaith.com) and although St. Francis is not a “District Church”, it has nevertheless passed resolutions A, B and C (
www.mkanglocatholic.org.uk/resoltns.htm). These are respected in the wider Parish (the other Churches in the parish accept the priestly ministry of women) and in the Diocese, and S. Francis receives the Episcopal care of the Bishop of Richborough, the Rt. Revd. Keith Newton (who as well as being one of the Provincial Episcopal Visitors is also an Assistant bishop in the Diocese of S. Albans). In its unusual circumstances, S. Francis is cared for by a non stipendiary priest, Fr Gordon Adam SSC, (Societas Sanctae Crucis - Society of the Holy Cross - (
www.anglocatholic.com/SSC.htm ) who is licensed with special responsibility for the Church.
