He was ordained priest just before the new church was opened. In 1916 he left to be Chaplain to the Forces.
From 1930 - 54 he was Vicar of All Saints, St John's Wood.
From 1954 - 59 was Vicar of Norton with Lenchwick.
He retired in 1959.

Subsequently became Vicar of Thorpe Hamlet, Norwich from 1947 - 1951. From 1956 he was Chaplain to the Community of St Clare, Freeland, Oxford.

Rector of Holwell from1947 - 51.
Priest in charge at St Albans, Leamington 1952 - 55.
Retired to live in Dorchester.

Formerly Vicar of St Paul's, Oxford.
Afterwards Chaplain of St Mary's Convent, Chiswick.
Died aged 83 years, on June 1st 1985. Funeral service and Requiem Mass at St. Mary's Church, Bourne Street, Pimlico; followed by interment in the family grave at Brompton Cemetery SW10.
